Press Release March 29, 2011 – After several months of mapping and simulation studies, 4PRL LLC has completed a Scrap Processing Center (SPC) footprint that will serve current and future North American clients.  Our network of sixteen (16) SPCs is now in place and ready to facilitate clients who have a network of multiple locations throughout the North America continent.  Our SPC network is capable of processing all e-scrap as well as environmental CRT recycling, hard drive shredding and NIST compliant data sanitizing.  These facilities are also geared to accommodate resale, including component recovery, testing, auditing, and data scrubbing for resale.  The metals market has never been better than it is today, but with unpredictable and escalating fuel prices on the rise we didn’t want to see our clients have the good revenues gobbled up by the cost of transportation and handling.  This is why we developed our SPC network of expert scrap processing facilities.  Another concern we addressed was giving our clients a SPC Network that has all the best environmental and green credentials for guaranteeing the best in management, quality and data security.  Our clients now have a global and one-stop-shop solution for all their electronic scrapping needs, and everything from transportation to scrapping to environmental disposition can be done through our web based password protected client portal.  Our clients that have just one location or our clients that have hundreds of locations now have an easy to use tool for managing a closed loop scrap processing channel of events.

Press Release - 4PRL LLC of The Georgetowne Group Presents on Sustainability at CSCMP Annual Global Conference

Clarksville, Maryland, September, 2010 – The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) hosted its Annual Global Conference from September 26–29, 2010 in San Diego, California. The conference brought together supply chain professionals from over 40 countries with an aim to help professionals improve their organizations’ supply chain performance. 4PRL LLC, the reverse logistics company of The Georgetowne Group which is a supply chain management solutions and consulting provider, presented in the ‘Sustainability’ session on ‘Social Responsibility and Environmental Impact of a Reverse Supply Chain’.

Gary F Cullen, 4PRL’s Chief Operating Officer spoke on how a forward supply chain is only half of the total logistics supply chain, and how the very complex network of third party service providers’ (3PSPs) services impact expense, sustainability, and corporate environmental citizenship.   His topics were designed to demonstrate as well as inform that by closing the loop using proven reverse logistics processes are so critical in today’s global business environment.  The discussion covered topics like finding green sustainable opportunities within a reverse supply chain and measuring your social and environmental impact.  Other topics included designing a sustainable 3PSP Model; the 7-Res, which include return, receipt, repair, recertification, prepackaging, remarketing, and recycling; modeling 3PSP individual and closed-loop performance, reverse logistics tracking; analysis and process improvement tools; and full explanation of what a total closed loop supply chain is..

"Gone are the days when pretty pictures in the annual report are enough to demonstrate your sustainability and corporate commitment.  Per an Aberdeen Group survey; Companies must now provide verifiable evidence of social and environmental impacts.  Yet in order to justify the continued application of resources companies must also demonstrate real business results” said Gary F Cullen, COO-4PRL.
